2024’s final rounds at Snetterton decided which nine drivers won a free registration into the 2025 Racing Hondas Championship.
The registrations were prizes put up by title sponsor Tegiwa and total around the £30,000 mark and mean nine places on the 2025 grid are already accounted for…
In Class A, Dan Brown and Liam Collins were already sure of the Champion’s and runners-up spots respectively following Brands Hatch’s penultimate rounds so had secured their free registrations before we got to Snetterton.
Behind, though, third place and one final spot was still up for grabs with six drivers in with a chance still of winning it.
In the end, thanks to two solid points finishes at Snetterton, it went the way of Ryan Jenkinson (pictured above), although he was only 11 points clear of outgoing champ Phil Wright who had a stellar Snetterton with a second and a win.
Class B was equally tense with four drivers in the running for second and third in class arriving at Snetterton (Alfie Jeakins having already bagged the class title at Brands).
Dave Buky survived scares in both races to hold on to second as Tommy Knight (above) did just enough to take third from Loui Hounsell who, thanks to two maiden winning scores in the races, came within just three points of him.
Class C had also been decided prior to Snetterton, Ryan Cunningham having dominated the class and Sam Linssner (above) was also guaranteed a top-two position.
The question was who would be third – Spencer Fortag, Callum Houchen or David Lawrence?
Ultimately the prize-paying position went the way of Fortag who ended the season on a real high with a pair of maiden class pole positions and wins.
Huge congratulations therefore to these nine names who already have a place on 2025’s grid:
Dan Brown (Champion, Class A)
Liam Collins (Runner-up, Class A)
Ryan Jenkinson (3rd, Class A)
Alfie Jeakins (Champion, Class B)
Dave Buky (Runner-up, Class B)
Tommy Knight (3rd, Class B)
Ryan Cunningham (Champion, Class C)
Sam Linssner (Runner-up, Class C)
Spencer Fortag (3rd, Class C)
