Reigning Racing Hondas Champion Ryan Cunningham has confirmed he will switch to the championship’s B class in 2025 in a bid to retain his title.

Cunningham will race the same Civic EP3 which is being upgraded to meet Class B specification. The car will continue to be prepared by Motion Motorsport.

“It’s a pretty straightforward conversion,” said the 36-year-old Cunningham.

“All it requires is a change to a plated differential and possibly a bit of weight saving. All the wheel sizes etc look to be staying the same as they in Class C.”

Cunningham, who runs car detailing specialist Just R-s in Wolverhampton, dominated Class C in 2024.

His 12 wins from the 14 rounds he contested meant he had both the class and outright titles sewn up before the season finale at Snetterton.

“I’d like to think I can be in the mix at the front in Class B,” he continued.

“The car had excellent performance and reliability in 2024 and, gauging the difference a plated diff will make, we think the lap times already look competitive.

“It’s a cracking championship. The racing has been very good all year and it’s also a very friendly paddock – there’s always someone willing to help when you need it.

“I’m expecting 2025 to be mega competitive so hopefully we can come out of the blocks fast.”
