The silverware, champagne – and a few unexpected prizes – flowed as the class of 2024 were recognised at the Racing Hondas Championship’s ‘night of champions’.

Dan Brown, Alfie Jeakins and Ryan Cunningham collected their respective Class A, B and C champions’ trophies.

Cunningham and Brown were then back on stage to receive the Overall Champion’s and Runners-up trophies.

Dave Buky and Sam Linssner (runner-ups in Class B and C) and Tommy Knight and Spencer Fortag (third in B and C) were also present.

Liam Collins (runner-up in Class A and third in the overall standings) and Ryan Jenkinson (third in Class A) were absent, their trophies being collected on their behalf by Linssner and Ben Sharpe Racing team boss Ben Sharpe.

All of the nine drivers named above have received paid-for registrations into 2025’s championship, courtesy of title sponsor Tegiwa.

Another of the championship’s partners, Lucas Oils, also handed out its ‘Hard Charger of the Year’ award to Class C front-runner Ed Sibbald.

Alternative awards went to Dan Brown, Loui Hounsell and Will Murfin…

Brown took the ‘Mr Horizontal’ (a spirit level) for his trademark laid-back approach in the paddock, Hounsell the ‘Brush it off and Try Again’ award (and with it a giant comb) for rolling his B class Civic in a ball of gravel dust at Brands Hatch, and Murfin a giant pair of pants for having caused the season’s scariest moment when his Civic EG span 360 degrees across the bows of the 34-car pack at Anglesey.

The awards ceremony also celebrated Racing Hondas’ owner the Club Time Attack organisation’s two other championships, Time Attack UK and MSA UK Drift Pro.

Following the event, Club Time Attack is pleased to announce that £6970 has been raised for Cancer Research UK – £2790 by a raffle on the evening added to the £4,000 generated during the season by ‘late entry’ fines.
