Club Time Attack presents donation of £6970 to Cancer Research UK
Club Time Attack, the organisers of the Racing Hondas Championship held its annual championship season Gala dinner awards night on Saturday at the Mercure Hotel in Daventry, UK.
The awards night celebrated multiple champions throughout the clubs activities and was attended by around 200 members and guests in a coveted black tie event.
Through the 2024 season the club introduced a late payment initiative for drivers in each sport that should they enter late, a charitable fee would be payable.
Members of the club decided by open vote majority that the recipient of the money should be Cancer Research UK.
The amount raised was £4000 and during the Gala event a further £2970 was raised via the club raffle which included the top prize of a free entry into a championship in 2025 bringing the total raised to a whopping £6970.
Chairman of Club Time Attack Andy Barnes goes on to add:
On behalf of the drivers in each of our three national championships I was delighted to make this donation. It was our pleasure to collect and present the money to Cancer Research UK, the chosen charity of our drivers and our organisation for 2024. Thank you to Mal of Cancer Research UK for attending our Gala dinner in person.
The initiative was a great success and we are proud as a club to make such a sizeable donation for such an impactful cause on behalf of our drivers.’
