Ben Sharpe says his eponymous team could run up to six cars in 2025’s Racing Hondas Championship.
“The phone has been very busy with people wanting to be on the Racing Hondas grid,” he said.
“The championship’s growth in 2024, how well it is has been run, the really big crowds… it’s got people talking and they’re telling us they want to be part of it.”
Sharpe’s team, Ben Sharpe Racing, achieved the unique feat in 2024 of taking at least one win in each of the championship’s three classes.
Ryan Jenkinson finished third in Class A with the highlight being a breakthrough outright race win at Oulton Park in his Civic FK.
Jake Hewlett took three wins in Class B in his BSR-prepared B Civic EP3 (raced by the car’s owner Lewis Barker in Snetterton’s final rounds).
And there was a win and second overall in Class C for Sam Linssner.
BSR also provided technical back-up for the Civic EP3s of Paul Taylor and Charles Gates who both dazzled in Snetterton’s final rounds – Taylor taking a pair of wins in Class B, Gates a second place finish.
In addition, the Wellingborough squad ran a front-running Class B Civic for Adam Kruger and, mid-season, there was the arrival of Oliver Barsby’s striking newer shape Class A Civic FK2.
Established in 2023 by Sharpe, BSR has rapidly enjoyed success across a number of UK club racing categories – its successful Racing Hondas campaign in 2024 adding to that reputation.
“It’s a championship we have great belief in and in 2025 we have the potential to run up to six cars per event,” continued Sharpe.
“In addition to the drivers we are talking to, we have two Class B cars of our own available. It’d be great to hear from drivers to keep discussing the options.”
