Lewis Barker has become the latest driver to announce he’s entering Class B of the Racing Hondas Championship in 2025.
The 44-year-old from South Yorkshire made his race debut in the championship’s final rounds of 2024 at Snetterton in his distinctive Civic EP3, run by Ben Sharpe Racing.
“The bug bit immediately – I loved every minute of it,” said Lewis, who with brother Ryan founded the vehicle body shop chain Europa Crash Centre.
“The championship and the rest of the paddock immediately made me feel at home and after free practice, qualifying and my first taste of racing I didn’t want the day to end.
“So it seemed liked the place to come back to and with the BSR outfit overseeing the car.”
Prior to Lewis making his racing debut, his car had been raced by Jake Hewlett to numerous wins and other podium results in Class B.
“Jake did a great job developing the car.
“It was Jake who got me interested in racing in the first place, on a track day, which I’d been doing for a couple of years.
“The business had been doing well and here was a chance to finally go racing – being on the Racing Hondas grid can act as a ‘halo effect’ for my business.”
