Sam Linssner has announced he will graduate to Class B for 2025 following his numerous podium results in Class C in 2024.
Linssner’s team Ben Sharpe Racing are currently giving his Civic EP3 a rebuild and the necessary upgrades.
The 32-year-old from Hampshire is looking forward to taking the fight to Ryan Cunningham, last year’s Class C champion who is also moving up to B for the forthcoming season.
“I’ve raced Class B-spec Civics with plated differentials before so hopefully I’ll be straight back into the groove,” said Linssner, one of only two drivers to beat Cunningham in a straight fight last year.
“Ryan obviously had a great run in 2024 but I felt at times we were a bit unfortunate when I think we had the pace to maybe get a couple more wins.
“He will be the benchmark and I don’t intend on letting him win like he did last year.”
Linssner, runner-up in Class C in 2024, hopes his previous experienced of B class cars and continuity with the BSR squad will make him a title contender.
“The car is in the bodyshop and we’ve got a big parts order coming from Tegiwa to add to the car. The plan is to start testing in March when the weather picks up.
“Things worked well in 2024 working with the BSR team on data and set-up so it’s really going to be down to me.
“I’ll be going for class wins and big points hauls every event and let’s see where that puts us.”
