Due to a huge surge in interest, the Racing Hondas Championship is evaluating running separate races for its Class A and Class B categories in 2025.
After the overwhelming success of 2024, both classes are proving highly popular as the clock ticks down to the start of the Championship’s 2025 season – at Cadwell Park on Bank Holiday Monday 5 May.
Racing Hondas Championship Co-ordinator Carl McKellar commented:
“We have been delighted by the interest and number of entries for Racing Hondas even at this early stage of the year – people were clearly impressed by the Championship in 2024 and are keen to be part of the grid for the season ahead.
“Classes A and B are looking very strong and we’re mindful some venues only permit 34 starters – rising to 40 at others.
“We’re not quite full yet, but it’s only right we have a contingency in place to give everyone who wants to race with us the opportunity to do so by running two races for Class A and two races for Class B if necessary.
“Therefore, at this stage we are continuing to evaluate entries and, if we feel appropriate, we may split them.
“We’ll review and decide in mid-March if this is the case and until then we will accept entries on a ‘first come’ basis.”
The Racing Hondas Championship offers exceptional value for money for drivers with racing-spec Hondas.
Drivers can fully register and pay for all 16 rounds (8 events) in 2025 for just £3280 (inc VAT) if paid by 24 March.
All Honda models are welcome with cars’ performance balanced out by a power-to-weight formula, whilst – new for 2025 – Yokohama’s AO52 will become the control tyre on all cars, further balancing out performance. However, the regulations deliberately remain open enough to allow for engineering skill to also make a difference.
The Racing Hondas Championship attracts by far UK club-level motorsport’s largest crowds with trackside attendances in 2024 regularly attracting between 7,000 to 10,500 people – many there to also enjoy the Championship’s owner Time Attack Organisation’s vast tuning and modified car shows.
For 2025, it has also been announced that each round of the Championship will be live-streamed.
Newcomers registering the full championship will also receive a Yellow Speed Racing ‘Big Brake Kit’ plus two sets of racing pads for free.
