“We are immensely saddened to hear of Dave’s passing,” said Time Attack Organisation MD Andy Barnes.

“Dave’s passion for Racing Hondas was evident in his commentary from day one as he relayed the action to the thousands of public watching trackside.

“He’d always be among the first in the paddock in the morning, taking in the atmosphere and wanting to know what everyone was up to.

“He really had a real handle on the club motorsport scene and we know his passing will be felt as well widely across the oval racing community where had was also much liked and respected.

“From all the Time Attack family, we pass on our sincerest condolences to Dave’s wife Mel, Stacy and the rest of his immediate family and many friends.”
