Newcomer Matt Rowling has confirmed his bid for the Class C title in this year’s Racing Hondas Championship.

Rowling will re-ignite a rivalry with Callum Houchen who he’s raced against before and who has already announced his own Class C campaign.

Rowling, from Billericay, said: “Callum and I go back a few years.

“He’s helped me out and we’re good pals, but on track make no mistake… we are rivals.”

The 46-year-old vehicle spray painter will enter Class C in a Civic EP3 under the M&D Racing banner.

“We’re currently getting it ready for Class C with a few modifications such as changing the gearbox and differential, adding some weight and a bit of engine work.

“Hopefully we can get out testing in the not-too-distant future.

“My aim is to have the car in the best shape it can be to go for the wins in the opening rounds at Cadwell Park.”

Class C is the Racing Hondas Championship’s most cost-effective class with a season’s budget achievable for around £7500.

Cars with a power-to-weight ratio of 176bhp/ton are eligible and, based on feedback from drivers in 2024, require relatively little preparation work.

Drivers can enter any of the Racing Hondas Championship’s three classes in 2025 for just £3280 if paid before 24 March – that includes the registration fee, all entry fees and also VAT.
