Spencer Fortag has confirmed he will graduate to Class B of the Racing Hondas Championship in 2025.

Fortag will race the same Civic FN2 in which he finished third in Class C in 2024 – but upgraded and light-weighted to meet the requirements of Class B.

“Ryan Cunningham and Sam Linssner who finished ahead of me in Class C are also going B – this year I don’t intend them ending the season in front,” said Fortag.

“I really started to get a handle with the FN2 towards the end of 2024 which ended on a high with two wins in Class C in the season finale at Snetterton.

“The plan is to carry that momentum into 2025 and see where I can get to in the Class B title race and the overall Racing Hondas standings too.”

Fortag, known for his collection of outrageous suits, predicts testing of his reworked FN2 will begin soon. Once more he will be fettling the car himself at race events.

“Ryan and Sam have the luxury of race teams preparing their cars which puts a bit more pressure on me on a race day.

“My goal is to put pressure on them both out on track and see if they and a few others crack and take advantage.

“It’s looking like Class B will be even more competitive than it was in 2024 with a few other names looking like contenders but I’m confident I’ll be right in the mix.”
