Spencer Fortag
Honda Civic 2010
Hi. I am the quintessential adrenaline junkie who has spent the last three decades defying speed limits and common sense. At the ripe age of 50, and with a racing career that spans 30 years, I have seen more checkered flags than a chessboard. From the nimble fury of Caterham cars to the diesel-drama of the Focus Cup, I like to think I have handled it all with a lead foot and a grin.
My racing resume includes: six seasons of two stroke kart racing, seven seasons of Caterham racing, two seasons in the Focus Cup, and countless Citroen C1 and Ford Ka events. Not to mention the pièce de résistance—a gruelling 24-hour race at Silverstone, where I found that sleep is for the weak and pit stops are merely polite suggestions.
Off the track, I love spending time with my three sons and wife and enjoy whipping up a mean barbecue. Ultimately, I am happiest when my hands are covered with oil. “If it’s got an engine, it’s worth my time.”
I want to be remembered as being a racer, a dad, and an unrepentant petrolhead.
